According to Dr. James Hill, director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, "Americans are gaining one to two pounds a year and there is no end in sight" With the rise in weight have come increases in heart disease, diabetes, cancer and a host of other health problems. The good news is that finally we are waking up to this challenge and developing innovative strategies for successful change.
